Sunday Night Massacre

Well, my educated guesses didn't go so well. I wasn't too worried about Crash winning, but it's the other awards that killed me. I was hoping to get 2 of the 3 short categories correct, and only got one. And not getting the song right finished me off. At least John Stewart had the best line of the night when he reminded us of the current Oscar Tally: Three 6 Mafia 1, Martin Scorsese 0. And before Ebert gets all full of himself for predicting Crash---he missed five categories, and that is not even counting the shorts, which he didn't predict. Congratulations to Richard Roeper, who only missed one. The one he didn't pick was the rap song, which he actually thought should win. HOWEVER, for whatever reason he made picks for only 19 of the 24 awards. Still, if you went with all of his picks, then you stood a very good chance of winning your pool if you could manage a couple right out of the remaining five. Robert Altman had a heart transplant? Evidently this was kept a secret for ten years, or so Ebert implied in his post-Oscar wrapup.
